The story of Gwydyr Hotel began as a private residence in the early 1800s, witnessing the village's rapid tourism growth in the latter half of the 19th century. By the 1880s, it had transformed into the grand building that stands today. From 2020 to 2023, the hotel underwent an extensive refurbishment, ensuring that it continues to provide a timeless haven for travelers seeking history, beauty, and comfort."

Electric car charging

We're delighted to now offer electric car charging at Gwydyr Hotel. We have two electric car charging stations situated in the car park to the back of the hotel. We have one 22kwh and another 7KW charger free for guest use.

The hotel has a reputation for being one of the most dog friendly hotels in Snowdonia. Well behaved dogs are allowed in all areas of the hotel with the exception of a few guest rooms and our Restaurant.
